And more on PGC(merger study)

The merger study is not yet public but it has leaked out. Shows 4.8 million in potential savings which is much less than some were expecting.

I found this interesting while skimming through.

Pennsylvania's game and fish agencies spend less than the national average of other states with combined agencies per license sale. Therefore, the study notes, the potential for savings by combining agencies is minimal. Savings do exist through redundant staff positions that could be eliminated and from a few others areas.

I would say that's probably worst case scenario.

At any rate, 5 million dollars is five million dollars.

Do I support a merger?   Im kinda undecided.   Im not STRONGLY for or against.   Lots of other things I think could be should be done that would make it unnecessary, but I wouldn't be opposed  to the idea of merger depending on all the details.

I wouldn't fight tooth and nail against a PGC/PFBC merger as it works well in many states.

I would fight tooth an nail against a PGC/PFBC/DCNR merger, esp. if the DCNR was in the lead.   That, IMO, would be a disaster for PA Sportsmen.

With your first ascertion, I agree.  Im not 100% sure how I feel about it at this point, but wouldn't fight for or against it "tooh and nail" at this point either.

I also would not prefer to see them under dcnr.

    Winner winner,,  chicken dinner...

All for a merger of the PFBC/PGC.

The DCNR should be a subset of that merged agency under THEIR control not the other way around..
