alaska trip

any of you fishing people been up to alaska fishing   Im going up in the middle of july and need some info on what size flies to use  (sockeye, and trout will be running in the rivers I will be fishing)  any help with what type of gear I will need  Should be the same as what I use for salmon back here   8wt fly rod and a back up spinning rod med action 10ft    any help would be greatly appr.
