Bull Dam

I want to take my 8 year old for his first shot at pike, is it true that for ice fishing there the best shot at catching pike there is to fish just off shore of the dam in shallow water? we don't need to catch keepers cause we catch and release. just looking for lots of action.

    Misery Bay by the monument  propbably one of the best places to target pike through the ice.
