Saw 2 guys fishing each lake on Thurs. I walked out a bit on the upper and the shore ice didn't feel great. Didn't get any measurements. Mammoth felt real solid, nobody fishing.

Are they catching anything at either lake? The upper one used to always give up some decent perch

Me and a buddy fished today at the lower lake near spillway from 11:00a-5:00p, got about 10 browns and a handful of small gills/small perch. Trout came on swedish pimples w/mags, marmooska w/ waxy, tip ups w/ waxy's or mags. All panfish came on marmooska w/waxy. Ice was 4 3/4"-5"

We were out on the upper lake yesterday, did o.k. on trout & perch. Heard that some buds of ours really hammered the trout on the lower lake. I took the grandkids to the bottom lake to-day,but all the water laying on top had me spooked & we didn't stay long.I was out there Fri. (only a few people out) Sat. (nice group out & great conditions) with approx.7" of ice. To-day only a few out (I guess the others were getting ready for the big game). We did best with a castmaster & meat. The gas drill worked well. I even was kind enough to let my buddys drill the holes for us. I want to appologise to the 3 guys that we set up next to if all of our laughing & joking around bothered you,but that's how we roll.  good luck & be safe  sam

Dang Sam I should have mentioned I wanted to fish Fri. I was a bit Leary of ice fishing solo in over freezing temps. I went to loyalhanna crk for A bit. Found one barely fishable spot. mostly ice covered on fri though. Sure it was blown out today. Wish I would have hit the ice.
