So much rain!

I've been dying to fit in some fishing before Christmas, but today was the first day I could attempt it after weather and my schedule aligned. Unfortunately the weekend of rain had a huge impact. No surprise to anyone the river was was up, but I tried going out to Montgomery and saw firsthand what the total water flow leaving our city looked like. According to usgs, the level was up by 13' above normal. Needless to say, fishing was not an option there. It was truly an impressive sight to witness, despite the fact that my day on the water was ruined.

I just checked the resivoir forcast, Conemaugh is up by 32' . This also affects how much land we can hunt during the next week. But those Dams are doing their job which is to prevent flooding.  sam
