Cold Weather "Go-To"

Planning on making the trip up for some Black Friday fishing, forecasts looks frigid, but no snow so it should be manageable.  Just wondering what everyone's "Go-To" rigs/baits/flies during sub freezing temps. Thanks!

Streamers to pick off aggressive fish, then nymphs and eggs.

Keep changing till I figure out what works. Fish will be sluggish and not real aggressive. Slow drifts right in front of their face. There's usually 1 or 2 that got some spunk, they will surprise ya.
But I just snag them, so I don't gotta worry about go to patterns. Plus they fight better when hooked in da south mouth.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

Jigs and minners vertical jigging for eyes on certain bodies of water (if the boat can be launched).

Jigs. Then more jigs. Cold water steel arent as sluggish as people think. Eggs will always work in winter flows as wil any egg pattern fly. All the same to me.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help.  I haven't done much Winter fishin for Steel, would rather be atop a drop off on a frozen lake jiggin for eyes, but Ice fishing seems to be a thing of the past and an addict has to fill the void somewhere so I think I will make it up for several winter trips.

I got an 18 foot bass tracker, little sketchy on the Lake this time of year lol  But I hear ya man, would rather fish eyes, but I winterized two weeks ago.  We slammed some pretty good eyes on the Gheny this year all through October...nothing compared to the fish yinz boat trolling in Erie though.
