Lost rod & reel at legion hole parking lot. Drove off with it on top of my truck.

Late morning today, I drove off with it on top of my truck.
Noodle rod & open faced reel.

    That sux , I did that "ONCE" , lesson learned.
     
    Always double check where your stuff is before you leave. I hope who ever found it sees your posts and is honest enough to get it back to you. Good Luck !

    5 years back I found a sage fly outfit same place same thing happened to them. I called the local bait shops and asked them to give my # to anyone who lost a rod to call and describe it. Called the Erie times and put it in the lost and found. 10 days later a fellow from Pittsburgh called me and he got his rod and reel back.Good luck

    After the fact, but what we do is make at least a trip around the vehicle before we pull out. The other thing is not to put the rod on the roof but on the front window with the butt under the wiper blade when we are getting changed.

    Been there,done that.....now I set the rod down at drivers side door propped against mirrow,no way can you forget it then!

    Good suggestions for avoiding another stupid mistake.  Still holding out hope. The reel is common, but the Browning Gold Medallion noodle rod is an antique that I have had for 25 years.
