Nice catch.  Like the photos and report.  Get's me fired up to get out.  I'm bad at remembering to take photos.  Usually have my phone stuffed in pockets 2-3 layers, or lost in the launching shuffle.  Or...  Not worth the photo op...  I do need to get a photo of the buck trying to cross Arthur the last time out, off of my buddy's phone.

Just love the colors Mother Nature can show off with natural born wild fish. Nice post.  The Toothie Critters have been picture gorgeous lately, don't even ever had a cell phone before u can even ask my old ladie, better than any Browns I've seen & they can be purdy at times.

Yes, park at the boat launch by the cabins and walk the trail around the lake. The trail itself will keep you a little ways away from the lake in spots, but any shoreline down that way is accessible. There are numerous spots with down trees (very nice spot for crappie), good weed lines ect... The trail will take you all the way to the dam.  If you're adventurous try a few pools below the dam.

The trail that Blue Lagoon speaks of leads past a final big cabin near the lake.  The first bunch of trees you see in the water have some branches hanging down near(9') the water.  Underneath that overhang it is 25-28' deep.  I caught all my crappie and perch there.  From shore, a well-functioning slip bobber will get you down there. It's no picnic, but it is doable.  They might even be suspending higher in the column if the wind is right.  Good luck!!

not to blow up a thread, but what kind of sunfish is this, the colors on this fish were unreal. The picutre does it little justice.

World Famous, I'm not sure where you are catching them but, in the Yough, I have caught some really nice sized Greenies. That is the river by the way, not the lake. I have caught them from Cedar Creek Park down. Any place there is some trees or logs, you are sure to pull some out. I don't carry a tape measure but the ones I caught were pretty **** big for a sunfish. Bigger than any Rock Bass I have ever caught.
