Lowrance Elite-5 HDI

I've been window shopping for a while.  Some cool technology seems to be getting a bit more affordable.  That new Lowrance Elite-5 HDI looks pretty impressive.  I am looking to get one with chartplotting, standard sonar and down imaging all in one.  From reading around, it seems like Lowrance is the way to go, compared to Humminbird.  Although that 597ci looks like it does about the same, for a little less.  Does anyone have the newer 5 HDI, or have a device with the Insight Genesis?  Do you need to purchase that seperately?  Lowrance, seems to market a lot of items that are add ons, as if they come with the unit...  That looks like a pretty sweet tool.  Can you do in sections, or do you have to do all at once?
