They dug the launch out and I've been able to launch my heavy 14 foot boat with no problem.  Once it's off the trailer you would probably need to pull it to the right side to get in and maybe push it out a little deeper before jumping in but it's actually been easier for me to launch now than it was before.  The hole they dug is not that long but it does drop off pretty quick. Whatever you do keep the truck wheels out of the water if you can.

I didn't find out about the new hole they dug till July but the spring crappie fishing from shore was sporadic but the crappie were decent size.

I remember talking to you, that's mainly why I replied to this thread.  On the fish commission site they keep talking about how hard it is to launch, but in my opinion its better now.  You do have to pull the boat around some as the back side of the hole they dug is still low but it's nothing major.   I wish they could have pulled that little dock over to help give people and idea of where the best spot to back in is but maybe they couldn't do that.

I did talk to another guy walleye fishing and he told me he had been doing pretty good even recently.  I haven't walleye fished except for a couple of hours one morning and I didn't do any good but I'm sure they are still there.  This spring after the spawn there were still quite a few dead ones around the shoreline.
