Most of the bay can be good but if the lake & bay won't work, head for French Creek or the Allegheny before the leaves fall.

Hock, you catch more smallies than anyone on this board...
    why ask?

Because he knows you're on here, and nobody knows more about everything than you...

As for finding smallies, just look where you found the stocked trout in May...

Curiosity killed the cat, but for awhile I was a suspect.

Really?  Not trying to be a smartass but you need to do a little more boots on the ground research yourself.  A good summer tip in hot weather is to fish riffles and just below.  Smallies love oxygenated & cooler water.  Good luck!

    Hey Hock
When you do score some summer smallies make sure you post some pics. Its always a nice reminder that the lake has more than just walleye, perch, and steelhead.
    Always enjoyed your pig pics.

we are all now stupider for having read this drivel.

as far as fishing the bay, find the humps and you will catch bass all summer.

Drop shot, deep structure (rock piles or even 2-5 foot breaks, humps) 40+ feet. Use your graph "video game" them! Its a blast. Once you find a productive area you can usually catch several. Not as easy as the spring, but the size is still there. Good luck!
