cooler weather

Water temps are down a bit & seems like some bass are coming back into the shallows. I know I am doing better on top than I was. Got a couple of nice ones yesterday, also a strange occurrence for me was that I got a small gill & a small bass on the pop-r at the same time, they were both about 4" long, 1 on the front hook & 1 on the back hook. Both were foul hooked. I have caught 2 bass at the same time several times but this is the first time I got different specie at once.  sam

My 9 year old son and I did some farm pond bassin on Monday.  Killed 'em on spinner baits in the shallows.  I love this weather!

Keeps the walleye happy too!  I know I am glad it seems we are in a Summer/Fall transition too.  I can't remember the last summer where we had the house opened up in July and nights in the 50s....

Oh boy...we had about a week of any decent summer weather and already we are looking to fall and winter....awful...I love summer the hotter and longer the better....this has been the weakest, dampest "summer" I have experienced anywhere in the world I have lived...tomato plants have the blight and the rivers have been in flood most of the time since last winter which lasted seven months...miserable...
