Fish already?

I hear that the steelheads are already moving into the lower sections of the tribs. I'm gonna get my rope ready. Nothing like fresh steelies in July. ....WF...I think someone already limited out

Ive got the new Pin Rod to use. Since its 13' long Im going to need 26' of space for casting and 100' downstream for my hero drifts. I will begin my drifts at the south end of the wall and end them at about the marina entrance. Should pick up about 50 lines doing this , cant wait!!!

Nah the blue doesn't start to work till at least mid to end of August, but it works the rest of the time. Purple and orange are the to to colors now.

So that's why he sent me the pic today and not two days ago.  Always fight better when they eat the powerbait with their poop hole

Mouth of Walnut is the hotspot.  Just start casting straight north off the pier about 8-10 miles out and that will put you in the area where we found a few

Went to my plan B(troot run) and got a few stekheads, a pink salmon, and some native brookies(ya know, the ones that magically appear in March/April).  Spoonz were hot below the first dam.

With such a high rate of natural reproduction 3 years ago, this year will be EPIC! I found a little tool that scoops out PowerBait and molds it perfectly around your hook. I bought 2. I'll probably wear at least one of them out this year. I bought extra glitter to add to my blue PowerBait as well.

I've been doing pretty well for the last 2 weeks at the mouth of 12 mile. There's a bunch of fish in the first pool, staging to run. A small glob of blue power bait on the end of a wooley booger (silver) has been the ticket. I've been using an ultra lite. God is it FuN! It takes me about 20 minutes to land a fish. The limit is still 5 right? I keep the first five and then keep fishing and releasing my fish. When I release them, they kinda just float out into the lake, but I'm sure they'll be ok.

Oh yeah, buy your yellow rope now. There was a shortage last year and I had to buy clothesline. It's just not the same.
