I haven't been out for bass this year, so all I can say is pack up some minnies and crawlers load up all your crank bait and jigs go out and have fun with it

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!

No need for live bait, doing well on spinnerbaits, finesse worms and shallow crankbaits this year. Especially on the rivers.

Spinnerbaits have done well for me also.  Especially after dark. Been running  black skirt with big colorado blade when it gets dark.

Also,  been busting them on 5" senkos, rigged texas style.  I don't know why, but they were wacking them this past weekend and not touching any of my normal worms on a texas rig.

I've had hits on drop shotting, just nothing I could set the hook on. Just haven't hit the right lure at the right depth yet at my local lake.

Second on the texas rigged Senkos....friend and I have been crushing with Yum Dingers which are pretty much a Senko imitation. Also Powerbait doubletail punkin seed grubs on a football jig...haven't failed me yet this summer. Fish both dragging along bottom, slow retrieve.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

I am having success hooking up almost exclusively using tubes while shore fishing and wading along the Three Rivers....including the free flowing section of the Allegheny.
