Some photos from the Beave.

This kid is one of the "fishing geeks", twin brothers Sean and Adam Konrad, from Canada, one of whom caught a world record rainbow trout (43 lb 6 oz) at Lake Diefenbaker in Saskatchewan.  This kid and his world record rainbow appear on the cover of the December 2007 issue of SalmonTroutSteelheader magazine. I seriously doubt this kid is wasting his time on Beaver Run. Google their names, and see what you find.

I used to sneak up to the Oneida Dam before it reopended and killed all sorts of species. Now that its opened you will find more trash than fish. Now I sneak on golf courses at night and catch bass.

I was on the Loyahanna between Ligonier and Latrobe the other night.   Stopped at one of the small dams that guys with flyrods frequent.  There's a pulloff from Rt 30 on the LH side going west.  Pulled in there and couldn't believe the garbage just laying around, beer cans, plastic bottles.   Mostly low-lifers and trash dumping bikers, imagine what Beaver Run's shoreline would look like if they made it legal to fish there.

There was an agreement in place with Oneida & Beaver Run that if it was open to the public the PFC & some of us volunteers would help keep them clean. So far the reports from Oneida have been good. Of course there will always be hogs around, but if everyone that says they care about the enviroment would just pick up a little bit,we could have a better place for all. sam

Ya, the pulloffs normally just have bags and trash and it may not necessarily be coming from the fishermen. But I do find empty worm container alot
