The wife says it's a go, so count us in. It's cool that you guys will get to meet Greg. I hope a lot more folks come. I'd like to see Bogey, BD, FDrummer, Slick, Steelie, Deetz, and the rest of ya come too. So, what do I need to bring?

Cool. Which park in Cook's Forrest? The one by Tom's Run? How deep is it there? Nice shallow area for the kids to swim?

fishingman, we don't eat until around 3 so we fish b4 and after the picnic. some of the guys do a float and fish. some of us stick around the campsight and fish before going down to the picnic area. the picnic area usually gets crowded in the afternoon with all the swimmers, canoes, kayaks and other picnic going-ons.

it's open to all. just a get together of some of the members on here,. there's a sign up post so we know who all are expected to be there for a food count.
slab, there's always 2 or 3 fly rods in the van. be there early and we can cast out in the big field. remember i'm hosting so i got to set things up and stuff. we could cast a few after also.

Guys, I just wanted to put this out there. I knew that I would enjoy meeting up with all of you. I knew that I would have a good time. What I didn't know is that I would be there until 1AM and come away feeling like my family had suddenly gotten larger. You made my wife feel welcome. You all played with my kids. I'll never forget listening to you applaud and hoot'n'holler when Li'l John caught that bass. He was so proud! My family is mostly on our own. We don't have much of an extended family. It sure was special to feel like part of a bigger family again. So once again, thank you and I hope I don't have to wait until next August to see you all again.
