Mon river

A few of us are heading down the mon river this weekend looking for catfish. Does anyone know if we can fish lock 4 in Charleroi ? Trying to find a place that's wheelchair accessible or at least somewhat.

    There's a "park" in Elizabeth that is wheelchair accessible  - just below the Elizabeth Bridge on Rt 51.
    I think you might have to call the city though to see if they (or you) can unlock the gate so you can either drive a vehicle or ride a wheelchair onto the barge fishing pier.

    4 out of 3 people don't understand fractions.

    Elizabeth lately has been packed but, there have been cars right down on the dock. Monongahela Aquatorium you can also drive down to the dock I believe. Same kind of set up. Just google Monongahela if you are not familiar.

    How about the wharf at Mon City. Been awhile,but you used to be able to drive on it & the Fishing was pretty good.  Sam

    Be careful.  We are supposed to get a lot of rain starting today and through the weekend and the rivers will be rising.  
     
    TS Andrea will be making her way up the coast today and tomorrow and throwing a lot of rain back our way.

    Checked out a few places in north Charleroi last night. Looks like a good stretch of river to fish especially below the lock off the wall. I can't imagine how deep that is down there. Mostly everywhere we went would not be easily accessible but does seem to have good potential.
