Curious.... Tag

Was fishing the Yough at Smithton last week and caught a Brownie that had a tag on it.  I know Smithton stopped tagging their Trout quite a few years ago.... 6 - 7 maybe ?   I'm wondering what club may have put this fish in.  Perryopolis, W. Newton, Connelsville...   Pretty sure the tag read "ATF" with a number on it.   Curious how far it may have travelled.

ATF stands for: Angelo's Trout Farm, which supplies most of the clubs around here with fish. If you post the number on the tag here maybe someone could help identify it that way. That is how we do it at the Twin Lakes Fishing Assoc.   sam

Puffy,In case that you are interested, the tags can be removed with your forceps without damage to the trout. We routinely catch trout that had the taqs removed earlier as evidenced by a small tear on the gill plate. Most places will honor the tag without the trout.  sam

Yeah, wasn't concerned about removing the tag, as the only button I get are Smithton buttons, and Smithton hasn't put tagged fish in for years.  Haven't fishedW. Newton are in 15 years or so, but I know they used to tag.... at least when Stan the Barber was alive anyhow.  And I know Perry Sportsman put fish in upriver, but don't know if they tag or not.  I was just curious to see where the fish travelled from.  I guess either way it's really not that far of a jaunt for the fish, a few miles up or down.
