CROSS CREEK ALERT !!!!

As of Monday, June 3rd you will not be able to get to the lake using Rt 50 They are tearing a bridge out for a redo and it will be out most of the summer !!! If you're coming from Hickory or Bridgeville area you'll have to use some back roads to get around this construction. I know all those back roads but don't know their real names. Will find out and list directions later

    I would think that by turning right off of Route 50 onto Old Ridge Rd, and then taking Old Ridge Rd. to Atlasburg  Rd. would get you around the bridge being removed. That being said Atlasburg Rd intersects with 50 very close to the construction site.
    I'm betting there will be two posted detours one for smaller vehicles and another much longer detour for truck traffic due weight restrictions. Just a guess on my part.

     You can bear right just as you go under the RR underpass on Rt. 50 then  a couple 110 yds turn right, go across the tracks keep going to Serenety Farm Road, turn left when you get to Atlasburg Road turn left you'll come to the park entrance on Rt. 50 AS of this morning they don't have any real detour signs up yet, hopefully they will by Monday. If you stop by the bait shop Mike has maps drawn up from all directions. Be careful asking for directions at the BP they sent a guy down 18 towards Washington this morning. You guys not local be careful which Old Ridge Road you follow, the one directly off Rt 50 will take you to the back side of the lake,Great for bank fishing but you can't get a boat to the water
