3 rivers walleye action

Since there is not one yet i figured i would get it started.  We hit the allegheny on monday around lock 3 pulled lots of eyes but none were legal.  Also caught lots of sauger.  Today we fished the neville island back channel and caught a few keeper eyes just about 16 maybe 17 inches.  Lots of sauger a couple small mouths and one really nice size channel cat.  On the allegheny we caught our fish drifting and bouncing jigs, the ohio today all fish were caught trolling in the morning it was crawler harnesses in the afternoon small reef runners.    Anyone else have anything to report on the walleyes

Fished Lock 3 on the allegheny today, caught a few just over 15'' tons of sub legal and a 26'' hog. also caught a few smallies and hybrids mostly jigging fatheads and leeches. caught some on 3'' gulp minnows and 3'' chart grub when i ran out of bait.

Between 5/25 and 5/26 managed about 2 dozen dink eyes and 10 legal Sauger near lock 7 mostly all caught on fatheads and a few on crawlers and one 16" Sauger on a scatter rap .  The bite is super light this year and I have only seen ONE legal eye taken and he was 17"...   I was surprised to see that many sauger pulled.   Got a pair of cats 1 channel and 1 15" flathead also.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong especially when I hear "regulars" say they are C+R or keeping 20-28"  eyes...   Unless they are telling fairy tales which is quite possible.

Me and a buddy hit Lock 3 yesterday. The wind, high flow, water color and boat traffic made it a tough day but we managed few eyes, several dinks and a 22''. Hid from the wind and boat traffic behind 12 mile island and picked up smallmouth, channel cats and several nice sauger 12'' to 16''. all on jigs with curly tail or gulp minnow tipped with fathead.

Not really Walleye but hit lock 6 area and hammered the Sauger took 9 keepers all 13-15 between 3 people on Sunday also 4 slab crappie as well...  High, fast and muddy was about best to describe (Really enjoy it better when it's high.)  My buddy also lost a nice eye that was sure to be at least 18-20" due to slow net play.  (I know 18-20" isn't huge but the fish itself looked very healthy and fat.)

Where is the best public launch close to lock 2? I always launched on the southside if i was going to fish the DT area.

Fished the lock two pool last night...Trolled for bass and walleye before setting up for flats and caught a couple small walleye. Water was pretty fast up by the dam but down below the bridge it was much more calm. I love this pool...and not because i live five minutes from it. It pretty much has everything to offer...in fact, a few weeks ago my buddys friend landed a 40 inch musky down at the barges.
