New Childrens Fishing Area - Glenshaw/Shaler

Not sure if any of you knew this, but while walking back to one of my favorite creek chub spots to catch bait i noticed a new sign up that said the area was now a designated childrens fish area. In case any of you have kids, the area is located in little pine creek at the bottom of mkelheny road in shaler. Looks like they stocked some nice trout for kids and I have yet to see a single person there. Im kinda bummed i cant fish my favorite bait spot anymore but its worth it if some kids get to land some fish. there are a few man made, very small waterfalls that may hold fish...but my suggestion would be to walk back into the woods at the end of the field. there is a very large hole that is holding at least a half dozen fish from what i saw.

On a side note, this stream is a very polluted small body of water (not much more than a drainage ditch at some points) that has never been stocked before. I couldnt believe it when I saw it to be honest just from growing up playing in those woods my whole life and never seeing anything like that. Does this stream have potential to be fully rejuvinated and treated just like any other trout approved body of water? Has this happened in other places?

Did the pfbc stock this or a private club? Approved trout waters just means trout are stocked and it is open to the public.
