Muskys and Bucktails..

I'm not much of a musky fisherman at all.. But I just picked up a couple double cowgirls and plan to use them on the rivers and trolling when I have the boat out.. Is there a big advantage of using a fluro leader over a wire leader? I just planned on using a 8" wire leader with 17lb mono as my backing.. I don't have any baitcasting reels other than my catfishing ones but they are going to be too bulky. I was thinking of buying a abu 6600 along with a baitcasting rod.. Any opinions.. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money at all I will barely musky fish but would like to have it available if I do see some swimming in creeks or lakes. Thanks, ed
