Went 4 different places today with my girlfriend. Started out at Crooked Creek outflow and didn't even get a hit or see 1 fish caught, after about 1.5hr we left and headed to the Allegheny. Was there for about 1hr no fish and didn't see any caught. Went down the road to Conemaugh and fished at the power plant for about 30min and didn't get a take so we gave up. (Anyone that fishes there know what happened to the hillside? Did the ACoE cut it back or did it slide or did someone cut the hillside back. The garbage can is moved and chained down near the end further.)
After there we went down to Mammoth, there was about 20 others fishing. We got nothing for the first 30min or so then after that it broke loose. We managed 17 rainbows ranging from 8"-13" all on Joe's Flies. Saw another guy catch 6 while we were there he was using wax worms. Aside from a few other people caught 1 or 2. So after the waste of about 4 hours of the day I managed 12 and the girlfriend managed 5. Pretty nice day once the fish started hitting. Can't wait for it to finally warm up for the season...
