Keep your eyes on the sky
In the last 2 weeks we witnessed 2 awesome sights of Mother nature. 1rst, my bud & I were sitting on our buckets at Twin Lakes fishing for trout & as Jim was holding up a Trout to unhook it a Great Horned Owl swept down from the Pines behind us & snatched the fish from his grasp only to lose it when it ran out of line as it was still attached to the rod. Then as it tried to get back in the air it came straight at me as we were only about 10' apart. All I could see were it's outstretched talons heading for my face as it rose . It was so close I could feel the breeze from its wings. There were about 6 people watching, including a woman that was screaming while she was holding a camera, but was too shook up to remember to take a pict. Then I heard that yesterday another friend was fishing at Keystone State Park & as he reeled in a trout, a Osprey swept down & latched on to the trout & tried to make a getaway but that fish was still hooked also. There were a few guys that witnessed that also & they all got a laugh from it. Today I watched a osprey grab 3 trout at the upper lake,he must not have known it is c & r now. It is great to see these awesome sights of nature. sam
