I've caught eyes fly fishing a good handfull of times, all in rivers.  Most I've gotten while fishing for other stuff but there's one place where I kinda target them, and I actually targeted them yesterday on the fly on a different river and got two nice ones.  And don't be afraid to go small.  I've gotten a bunch on sz10 streamers and I"ve even heard of them being caught on nymphs.

Same river as troutguy...catch everything on small nymphs. Never tried for them in a lake ...amagine stripping streamers might work though.

Yeah I've caught a few 'eyes fly fishing in that river before, but the fish in the pic caught the other day was from a different river/creek.  Not too far though.....and I think you're familiar with this one also..

That was you??  Nice to meet you.  Did you make it out this weekend? I fished it again today only for like an hour or so and got skunked.  Nobody else was catching anything either except for a few boring crappie lol.
