Idiots
Ct legislature passed what they proudly call the most restrictive gun laws in the US yesterday. Said it was necessary because this is where Sandy Hook is and wanted to sent a message. Over 100 guns outright illegal- more depending on 'any one' of their new design restrictions. Clip registration and some kinda ammo purchasing ID will be needed. Full details not out yet but this was enough to make me wanna puke. Wonder if my muzzle loader makes me a crook- it has a thumbhole stock and that singular design was on the table at one time. And the guys over in NY thought they had 'issues'. .

Must be time to move to your property in New York. Opps, that won't work either. I just finished reading the whole proposal and your right, it really sucks and will do little to improve safety. Nothing done based on emotion is ever done correctly. Sugar Grove Pa is still a nice town, their biggest controversy at present is horse manure on the streets from the Amish buggies. Both deer and turkey within the city limits.

I hope the gun manufacturers decide to move on out of there. It only makes more sense now.

Update- different newspaper-- Still bragging about the toughest new gun laws in the US. Vote to be taken Wed on these measures- however a bipartisan effort disclosed Monday indicated assurance of passage- Certificate of eligibility will be required to buy Ammo. 160 guns listed by name will be outlawed . If you own one of the guns or clips you can only pass it on by your passing or sell it out of state or to a gun dealer who can only sell it out of state.( Fat chance- price will be wayyyy down) More rifles will also be OUT due to having any one on a list of particular 'features' on them. Large capacity clips and guns on the list already owned must be registered individually. At least it looks like the mandatory 'turning in of clips and guns seems off the table. Violations of some rules herein will be classified as a FELONY. ( instacrooks) Yea Eyes- think many Companies will move out- sportsmen and shooters too..

Bogey----You wouldn't be talking about this Spoonie fellow by chance would you. RE: Poll Confirms Americans Fear Obama Gun Control Agenda Wednesday, July 22, 2009 3:03 PM ([link=javascript:void(showMsgNum(216491))]permalink[/link]) "under the Liberal Administration's firearms agenda" And what might that "fireams agenda" be? The only thing I've heard out of the administration, OR the current congress regarding "gun control", is that they do NOT intend to revisit the assault weapons ban. The only true "gun contol" agenda at the moment, is the NRA's agenda to convince the masses that Obama has one. Sells memberships, and increases sales for their corporate sponsors. Get Informed, Get Involved, And Make A Difference. He has been rather quiet on the issue hasn't he. He was rather noisy before Obama got re-elected about him being so gun friendly. Typical liberal.

Ahhh...I like spoonie. He's the only lib on this board that makes his case with a well thought out (albeit sometimes flawed, IMO) logic, and doesn't start flinging insults when his ideas are countered. To be fair to him, I think his point was that Romney had personally done more to control firearms than Obama, which was, to a large extent, true. I don't think even spoonie would make the claim at this point that this administration doesn't want to participate in a firearms grab. However, most of the damage done has occurred at the state level...see CT, NY, and CO. And they've all been kind of quiet lately.

I don't mind the guy either and we have jib jabbed each other on this subject many times. It's my turn now Interesting that Pelosi told the reporters in Jan they had been working on the Feinstein GUN BAN bill for over a year.

I have yet to see conclusively (I might have missed it since I am now so repulsed by the media that I hardly pay attention any more) that the AR was used in CT. Last I had heard, it came out of the trunk of the car. Yet the CT ban is based on the pillar that the AR was used. Further, was the AR not already on the banned list in CT at the time and this new bill just expands the list? In other words, if it were used, and that is not a foregone conclusion at this point, it was already illegal, so the ban stopped exactly nothing. Sorry for not beng up to speed on this.

This is an example of the LIBERAL EXPERTS that are deciding what we are going to be allowed to have. Democrat sponsor of high capacity magazine ban doesn’t even know what a high capacity magazine is April 3, 2013 tags: congress, constitution, gun control, gun rights, second amendment Diana DeGette is a Representative from Colorado and she is leading the charge in the Congress to ban high capacity magazines. Recently she was asked how banning high capacity magazines would help to curb gun violence and this is what she had to say: I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now, they’re going to shoot them. So if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time, because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available She believes that if the Congress bans high capacity magazines now they eventually will not be available because people will have shot them all. She obviously has no clue what she is talking about as she doesn’t understand that magazines can be reused once they are emptied. This would be laughable if it weren’t for the fact that she is leading the charge on this issue and she has no idea what the hell she is supporting.

Yes -the Auto was used in Ct at the School by the dirtball- A few days before the Wed, vote they had the PD info released complete with how many mags he emptied and how many shots he took and the small amount of time it took him before he cheated us and did himself. Also our Pres came to Ct a day or so after the big anti gun vote was made and gave a talk . I was up in Pulaski fishin so I missed it---DARN. Scuze me while I go puke. Still trying to figure out if the thumbhole stock on my Muzzel loader makes it an illegal assault gun-they approved so much other drivel I dont know if they did that one too.

If you have some time and want to see what LIBERAL ANTI GUN AGENDAS can accomplish hop on your putor and look up Bill 1160 -Ct 's new Gun law- a long read and touted by the happy folks in the Legislature as the Nations most restrictive Gun Law. Clearly it is NOT just about clips and 'assault guns'.. Upon reading it try tell yourself we still have a 2nd Amendment in this Country. They got away with it here- try and tell yourself that sooner or later your not next---

I would never condone that. Our way of changing things is the Voting booth. There ARE term limits - every so many years an elective term is up and one MUST run again-step up and change things. People TALK about doing that and then re elect the same idiots over and over. Step up and get involved- talking here wont change squat if ya dont GET INVOLVED at the local level. If I could do that and get elected anyone can -lol. You are ALL capable of making those much needed changes that get talked about so much on the forums. --Time and effort -to preserve a way of life is well worth it. Ex- being in an organization who sends a member to represent them in comittee meetings on agendas of interest is a good thing- but how much better should those members get together with similar minded groups and field a viable candidate who actually will sit on said comittee and have a real vote. It IS time for that- we are loosing with the status quo- fact is its way past time for that. Get busy and stop grousing about it- or sit back. and watch.

I was at a gun show last week and spent some time talking to a few political wackos that had a few good things to say mixed in with a lot of crazy. I also saw a few people that I know that have almost completely dropped out of society and have as little contact with the outside as possible.

Those sentiments are growing- many starting to feel great separation from Govt.-cant figure out why---- Talked to a Gun Lawyer today- Having 'issues' understanding parts of our new Anti legislation- this even after 28 yrs of L/E reading laws. Seems they keep rotating the words-Assault rifle-semi auto rifle, long gun and rifle to the point of some confusion. Not even talkin bout pistols here--- Is Hunting now Illegal?-- perhaps, some believe that, but its still being looked into. Is my .22 cal with the 15 shot tube legal ?- yes as it has no clip but its use may be restricted. Is the Thumbhole stock on by Muzzel loader legal ??- likely the muzzel loader is now an 'illegal Assault Rifle" and would have to be registered as such with very limited use allowed so its best to buy a new stock. Can I carry a Rifle over the State line for Hunting other States ?- Not as written- there seems no exemptions listed even with an outa state license in hand. There was lots more- but your getting the point. Antis across the Country will be emboldened by this. And YES --that separation some folks are feeling is gonna continue to grow. Most of my Urban friends cant even understand why folks are so upset- they see no problem with this law at all------- Dont think for an instant it isnt coming to your neighborhood next. Those City folks outnumber ya--.If they didnt Obo wouldnt be where he is. Nor would Biden be talking about people who like to go out and shoot like they are idiots and supporting UN anti gun action.

I rarely chime in on political or sports posts because both sides of the debate are usually wrong. If guberment is going to turn law abiding citizens into criminals they will only put up with so much before there is a revolt. It is getting tougher to know what is legal. Why were cheap .22 shells selling for $7-$9 o box at an auction I attended recently? Where did all the ammo in Walmart go? I sold or gave away all of my guns years ago is my official statement. Would Rugger 10/22's that I put together be outlawed because of pistol grip or thumbhole stocks and 10 round mags? How could you restrict a rotary clip? It was a lot of fun lining cans up and rapidly shooting 50 rounds at them or trying to keep a golf ball hopping. No legislation has ever prevented someone intent on killing. The doomsdayers are no longer worried about foreign invasion they are afraid of our government. Citizens are being turned into subjects. A friend mine in a militia always seemed crazy with his rantings but everything he said is becoming true. I have not seen him in a few years but last time we talked he was staying in some type of off the grid settlement and only in Pittsburgh to visit family. Building more prisons and cutting back on mental health and education is a huge step in the wrong direction

He was clearly taken into custody against his wishes. He did not submit willingly and was forced to submit. His freedom was taken and he was restrained. Thats an arrest- Would really like to know the criminal charge used. Arguing the little bit and repeated questioning is normal by an arrestee so that doesnt mean squat- IE, one cannot breach the peace of an officer and aside from his son there was no other folks around. Therefore the charge must be gun related. If they say it was the passerby who was alarmed by virtue of simply seeing a gun and an arrest was made we are all in trouble next Hunting season. If thats the case hope the complaintant never drives past a shooting range either. Our way of life is OVER if thats the case. Point to be made though- he may very well have been looking for an incident and got exactly what he wanted.- Not that its illegal -but who the heck takes a walk along the road with their kid wearing a orange vest and a .45 and carrying a rifle and a movie camera and has their lawyers name readily available...Gotta wonder who called the police ?? Most cops are gun guys themselves and instead of yelling -you cant you cant -what gives you the right-you might be a rogue cop-a rational and cooperative nature may very well have avoided the conflict that happened there. The guy did basically everything possible to be on the cutting edge of uncooperative and pushing the limits. Actually so what if a cop comes up and says somebodys outa joint cause you got a gun and he gotta check up. You say yea OK here hold the gun and BTW I'm out chuck huntin with my son. Here is my huntin lisence and btw here is my pistol permit cause I got that too. All that arguing yellin and shoutin gets ya pegged right off as possibly bein kinda too upset and worth a longer looksee. He played that card very well and got what he wanted IMHO. 15 minutes of fame and a spot on u-tube.

Got to agree with RG, might be a bit more to this than the tape indicates. New York, I would be apt to take it at face value, Texas, they tend to be quite gun friendly.

Thanks 10- Hey-- Show that tape to some folks who are only marginally Anti or on the fence about gun ownership=betcha they would mostly feel anybody who runs around with a semi and a .45 acting like that is NOT what we all work so hard to portray ourselves as. Kinda think he hurt our cause far more than he helped it with his antics. If he showed up outside my house acting like that I know how I would think----

Due to the recent Campus stabbings and the pressure cooker bombing in Boston Fienstein and Bloomberg are proposing legislation to ban sales of all knives and certain kitchen ware without background checks and special permits. Permits may be given out only after mental checkups and long waiting and 'cool down times.. Various kitchen ware companies are threatening to move out of any state enacting such legislation. Pro knife and kitchen advocates are lobbying to defeat said proposals. Biden and Obo have scheduled a press conferences and are consulting with the UN on the matter.

Don't laugh, Scotland, Piers Morgan's home country banned firearms to reduce violent crime. The only problem is that bad guys bring bad guys they just started using knives. No longer having the guns to blame, liberals bring liberals, they started blaming the knives. Now carrying any type of knife is banned and you can get up to a five year prison term just for possession. The cops are also doing random body search's on the streets in the cities. Until their problem with gangs, drugs, and the mentally ill is addressed their chance of reducing violence is the same as ours. That is why we cannot afford to give an inch on our second amendment rights.

eBay UK ban the sale of knives Richard Ambrose, eBay UK’s head of trust and safety, has announced that eBay UK is to ban the sale of dangerous knives altogether. The announcement was made on tonight’s BBC Watchdog programme, which saw reporters buy five illegal knives from US sellers via eBay UK. In a statement received by the programme, eBay said that some of the knives bought were illegal in the US too. Richard said that while eBay had introduced a number of measures to stop UK buyers from purchasing knives which are illegal here, these have not been enough, and so eBay UK will be banning all knives “except for kitchen cutlery”. There’s no date for the introduction of the ban as yet, but it’s expected to be within weeks. We’d expect a little collateral damage too: sellers of items like craft knives – who’ve already seen their buyers expected to complete credit card verification – will probably see those items banned from sale under this policy. More details as we get them.
