bay info HELP!

Does anybody know if the bay is open and the port authority ramp at chesnut st is ice free?

    Thank you much. I'm feeling froggy. I'm getn my 2nd shoulder surgery april 3. So I'm gonna be out for a bit. Would like to catch some feeessshh before that.

    You are a true warrior. Ramp will most likely be snow covered so have someone shooting video for one of those great YouTube boat launch mishap videos

    Well we made the drive up from Pittsburgh. The bay was iced up. There was skim ice as far as we could see. Got some breakfast and drove home.

    u drove to Erie to fish and didn't fish?  U shoulda at least dropped a line in the creeks.  They got silver bullets in there!

    That stinks..still amazes me how the bay can go from open water to frozen in a day..then back again...anyway..if things are looking sketchy in the future you might want to give Smitty's bait stand a call for up to the minute conditions. Those guys usually know whats up all around the bay/lake and are happy to share. 814-455-2973

    Its all good. What are ya gonna do. It got cold as hell saturday night. Guess that's where the skim came from.

    Port clinton easter sunday and monday. Looking to scratch this itch before shoulder surgery next week.. If not its gonna be a long spring on the couch....
