FishingGuy, I'm in Erie this week fishing. Weather is tough, forecast for Girard is 8-15" of snow by tomorrow. Water temp is around 33 degrees. I would wait.....just my $0.02

You think flowing nice today will translate to a blow out Monday due to snow melt with highs approaching 40? I don't mind the cold, but would not be comfortable fishing very high off color water. I gotta go up, (looking at a motor) just wondering which day would fish the best.

there is no way to really predict what it will be like monday.  You just can't do it accurately.  Erie weather is too crazy.  Wait till saturday or sunday then start monitoring the gauges and forecast for monday.  The water might spike one day but be fishable late the next day.  And if you're going up regardless, then dont even worry about it.  Bring your stuff and if it looks ok, go for it.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

Gonna depend on the rate of the melt and when.

Friday afternoon should be good snow is forcasted to taper off late morning, creeks are at a fishable level.
Saterday and Sunday forcasted for above freezing will definetly raise creeks how high as stated before is very hard to predict.
I live 15 miles from Elk/Walnut we got plenty of snow to melt with more falling tonite.Friday afternoons the sure thing if you do not like fishing high water levels.Just my opinion not worth much........

bloody, NOAA, weather.com and weather bug had the same forecast. Was just givng my opinion on the fishing. I've been here since Sunday and fished every day and it's been tough. It's snowed non stop all day today and for the record, still snowing.

I got about 4 inches so far. I'm sure there is more south of me. If it is a slow warmup, I dont think the crix will blow out.
IMO, accuweather does the best job for erie weather.
