    Good for your neighbors too...

Curiosity killed the cat, but for awhile I was a suspect.

Fish parts such as heads, entrails, etc. make great fertilizer for the garden. Just make sure you bury them deep enough that the local coons, cats and skunks don't dig them up. A problem I had last spring when I buried fish parts directly under my tomatos and peppers when I planted them only to find them a few days later all dug up by ctitters.

Gotta be careful when using your hands sifting the soil the next yr. The bones are as sharp as pins & needles

Plenty of them every year. Dont know if Id be collecting the moldy ones though, besides being real stinky and slimy Id bet that mold and fungus wouldnt be good for your plants to absorb?

I guess all that decomposing matter gets recycled back through the food chain of the lake.

Over 25 years have been using fish cleanings , and when I get out on the boat I like to rescue all the sheepshead that are usually discarded as less desirable and release them .... into holes in the garden. The yield of the veggies is greatly increased.
