bay ice out?

What's up guys?

Greenhead and I have a western basin hog fest trip planed for march 15 & 16. I'm not sure if the ice will melt by then. I'm getting anxious. If its still locked up in the western basin we may just settle to troll for some stupid ice out steel in da bay.

So, an ice report and if the port authority (chestnut st) ramp is open would be greatly appreciated. I think after monday or tuesday it may open up.

    The bay is wide open for the most part. A little ice around chestnut ramp but it wont last long at all. Check out the Son Of Lake Erie webcam to keep up to date on bay conditions. Log in as Guest http://71.116.30.200:81/

    where are some good places to fish the bay?
    good places to park?
    Are the fish biting yet?
    i'm looking to catch the big fish and really don't like to mess around with the little fish... you know, the HAWGS
    I usually only take my heavy pole, so those little ones aren't much fun

    The western basin is mud.....no eyes for a few weeks.....:-(

    I know its gonna blow this week, but maybe P.I. this weekend. Perchy and steel just to get out. Does anybody know if the port authority ramp is ice free?

    I may try saturday or sunday.
