What is wrong with the motor? If it is something simple try to troubleshoot it yourself...most boat places are so backed up with work that your boat will sit for months before they can even touch it.  They are also in a hurry to get the job done since they are so backed up....

it is a 1989 US Marine Force 9.9 that has no spark in either plug.  The motor has less than 25 hours on it but has been sitting for a long time.  Still looks brand new.  I put new plugs in and still no spark

Is the kill switch in the off position?? If your not getting any spark to both cylinders I'd have to say you have a bad stator, its located under the flywheel.  Getting pretty hard to find parts for a force outboard but you might be able to find them on eBay.

Hey,eyes if you don't get it fixed the time you're over Croo Creek stop at the bait shop and talk to Mike. He made my mariner 9.9 run like a baby, plus I've seen some of the stuff people bring him and I'm amazed that he gets them running. Price wise he's always been good to me and he'll deal he's net carved in concrete.

Don't know where you're from, but a new shop opened up from us. They were good and its an old name, don't know about [ricing. But thats where I'm going to have my triples cleaned at. West Penn boat sales or what ever they're exact name is now. But who ever owns it now or is running it, put a new building up a mile or so from us. Never had a problem with them when they were on rte 8. I used them and rte 8 marine. Go from there... But I also do most of the work myself, except for tunning the 3+ carbs and up.
