Walleye Perch get together
I know that it is early but can we make this happen this year. I couldnt go the last time cause of work, and my dad always believe in passing things on, and taking anyone fishing who wanted to go. I would like to take people out like he would have wanted me to. If we start planning now i think we could have one heck of a fishusa outing. What do you think

Well its not exactly take a kid fishing, but if you'd like to take a walleye rookie, I'd love to go. I'm pretty sure I've met people from this forum out on the creeks, but it would be nice to put faces to names. Like I said, I've never really fished for walleye (or done real well with perch either) and would really like to get into it.

the outing didnt happen last year. i was also really looking foward to it. the year before it was at the pine lane campground. there wasnt a whole bunch of people, but it ended up a nice fish fry. i dont really like to be the head of things, but i could talk to the campground owner and see if it could happen this year is the guys can get together.

August is the way to go, didn't happen last year as I had to head out of town in Mid August. I'm sure we could arrange it at the campground again. A little too early to plan at this time IMO.

Why not do it twice? You guys will be fishing anyway. Have one in May and one in August. That way if you can't make one, maybe you can make the other. We can do a fish fry, maybe have a filleting contest, and have some fun.

Think we picked a Saturday in the past. Gonna do a lil walleye trollin 1st than stop off for some perchin. If memory has me, we caught PLENTY of perch last time.

FishinPreacher, in the past we would see who all is willing to participate. Figure out who has boats ( captains ) and who does not ( fisher people ), and put together the fisher people with the captains. It was a blast and we had one hell of a fish fry at the campground. Did I mention the watermelon?

Hell I might not be working saturdays starting in august  , It was a great time from start to end. Id be in but wont know untill its a done deal if the PO stops saturday delivery. Keep me in mind guys.

Sounds like a good time. I'd have room for at least 2 people on my boat. There is a few tournaments in August, it might be a good idea to pick a weekend when there isn't one going on
