Shed Hunting

Has anyone been out looking and finding sheds? I haven't got a chance to go out looking yet but have seen and heard of bucks dropping them.

Nice finds, I found my first dropped set this year on the second day of rifle season and saw my last buck still carrying a week ago.  The latest I've ever seen them still carrying was the second week in April outside Washington Pa. It all depends on the overall health of the deer.

Nice find1 I watched a show the other day that showed a net with food beside it...when the deer eats his rack gets stuck in it and he yanks them off his head. Here is another type..

Had a small six and an older buck that had already dropped his antlers, in my backyard yesterday.

Not yet, but hope to have a banner year. Been giving my 1 year old golden retriever deer antlers since she has been 8 weeks old and I hope she turns into a shed hunter. I have antlers throughout the house and yard and she won't walk by without picking them up. Time will tell if she can detect fresh ones but were sure gonna try.

I made a bunch of calls this week and was told snow was still on the ground from Erie all the way to ANF.   Looks like we will have to wait one more week (hopefully) for the white sheet to melt!

Here are the sheds I found SW PA last week. Found about a shed per hour walking.

Haven't been out myself, too much snow. A buddy of mine said his friend found a shed with 8 points on one shed in Marienville area. It measured nearly 100 inches. He won't disclose info on location though. Will try to get a pic to post.
