Mammoth
Went out this afternoon only to find about 90% of the lake frozen.By the time that I left about 4pm there was about 10' of open water around the shore at the upper end & melting.Pretty rough fishing with the wind & snow flurries. Did manage to get 1 very nice Brown & 1 bass about 14". No one else trying, for some odd reason. lol Also managed to take a spill trying to get up the bank. sam

Ryan, Mammoth is partialy drawn down,no water going over the overflow, but that end of the lake looks normal, shoreline looks the same, not like Twins. Were you on the ice at the lower lake? They should start to fill both Lower & Mammoth soon. sam

Sam, do you think mammoth will be safe to fish tomorrow? If so im going to try and make it out. Were you fishing near the overflow area and how much ice was there? Thanks, Joe

Oh great more spam... Does anyone know if the water level at mammoth ever dropped a considerable amount? The only times I was there it was only down about 2' at most. The only way it has seemed to effect the lake is to landlock one of my favorite carp spots.

@rrsoni007 you're a piece of $HIT. You and your other spammer buddies are destroying this site. No one will buy your boats or click on your links. Leave the site, because eventually you'll be banned anyhow.

Mammoth has taken so many hits over the past few years. Ever since the road was redone. The lake seems to lose a foot of depth every year. I don't see how, whoever redid the road, was able to direct all the road dirt and sediment straight into that creek without any consequences on their part. Does anyone know if there is a watershed association for that area?

I agree. It is highly annoying, but if you can't handle it anymore you can do 2 things: 1. PM a moderator to make him aware of the situation, just because they are moderators, doesn't mean that's all they do all day is police the forums. 2. Block the member you have a problem with and his messages will magically disappear. lol

Try getting a hold of someone. I don't know the criteria but volunteers are usually welcomed anywhere. As long as the law isn't looking for you. I didn't even get a chance to have him do my taxes
