New trout regs.

Bradys run and other local lakes approved for year round fishing,  no standard opening day madness !
If people don't read the regs,  alot of people are going to be camping out for nothing. lol.....
Stocking in late March, C& R only from March-opener. Doesn't make sense to me. Why change it from the extended season in March ? Most guys bottom fish with bait, a lot of gut hooked trout with lines getting cut from March 1st to April 13th.
What do you guys think ? Don't really matter to me, I never fish it after the "early season" in March anyways, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Hopefully people have the sense to leave the bait jars at home for this c&r season

    Hopefully.

IMO, less fish will be available for opening day eventually decreasing interest and license sales.

Mutant indeed. But pretty none the less. You got a link to this info? I didn't see it on the site.

I fully agree Jeb on the gut-hooked trout.   I can't make much sense of this one.

I'm kinda glad, not many lakes around Greensburg that were able to be fished after the extended season...  I think there will still be crowds at the lake because the weekend warriors will go buy their license the weekend prior at their "lucky" place and not know of the new regulations until they see people fishing as they pull up to camp out for that hot spot...

Yes, mentor program to open this year in the SW counties that open ealry, if all goes well, they plan on doing it staewide in the near future. Hope they put some streams on there, kids enjoy fishing the moving water too.

There still seems to be a good amount of them around. I've caught plenty of them out of Loyalhanna and Meadow Run relatively recently.

Has anyone ever bass fished Brady's Run Lake? I know it is a big trout fishing lake, but was wondering if it holds any bass

I heard they put some nice fish in from Hereford, but I haven't seen any caught yet.
