Mr. Heater vs. Hotdogs

This might be kind of a weird question, but will a Mr. Heater propane heater get hot enough to roast a hotdog?

I have a Mr. Heater, and yes it has cooked its fair share of hot dogs!  Wrap up a good bit of tin foil into a little pan like shape.  Works great.  Or just buy a little frying pan...

    Early to bed
    Early to rise
    Fish like hell
    And make up lies!

Thanks for the replys fellas. If my boy and I do go out this weekend we'll be roasting dogs in front of our heater for lunch. It will be something warm to eat and if the fishing is slow it will give him something to do.

Preacher....What time is lunch?  Any time from 11:00 am and 1:00 pm
would be great as long as we bring our own hot dogs, right? LOL
We'll be looking for a report on your success, both on fishing and on lunch.

You know... I've always thought about packing a stove as my fishing days turn into hungry nights (sometimes it's just hard to quit fishing). In any case, the sled is loaded down as it and its just another extra to bring.  Mr. Heater is a staple in my ice sled, and I never even thought about using it for cooking.  I LOVE IT.   HOT DOGS FOR ME TOO, next time out!  I'm tired of a biting into a icy cold sandwich.

Yep fished the MC area of Arthur. Didn't get on the ice till 2:00, so didn't bother with dogs via Mr. Heater (maybe next time) but we did have 7" of hard clear ice, and brought home 17 gills & 2 crappie.
Awesome first time out with my boy!

Fishinpreacher, it's always good to have something hot to eat while ice fishing and there's nothing wrong with maintaining your son's interest in ice fishing if it is slow by having him cook. Whatever it takes to keep him interested in fishing [or hunting] is always a good thing. Maybe next time out you guys will have the opportunity to cook. I'm glad the both of you had success on his first time out!
