What tackle box

Depending on how much tackle you have, Consider just the Plano Stowaways, Label them according to type of lure/color schemes and place them in a large rubber made storage bin with lid. It's reasonably sized, easily accessible and doesn't take up much space on the boat.
 Instead of spending a lot of $$$ on nice tackle bags that aren't large enough to store your items anyhow.

What a coincidence this thread popped up as I just completed my tackle inventory yesterday. I purchased 5 large Plano boxes and 3 medium sized ones. Filled them to capacity, and found a 42 quart soft igloo cooler ( happen to be in real-tree camo ) and put my boxes in there. I removed the plastic square bucket in the cooler first. It also has nifty back-pack straps if you need to hike it in somewhere. It has zippered pockets all the way around for more storage. I managed to put EVERYTHING that I use on the boat in that bag.

I kind of like that rubbermaid idea.  BH that is pretty much what I have now too. 

I don't know how much this will help you, but instead of going into a long dissertation on tackle boxes, I can tell you what I prefer. I'm old school and prefer the old style hard plastic boxes with multiple shelves and dividers for the trays. I find mine at flea markets and  they are factory seconds, but that doesn't mean junk. It might be that they have a scratch on the box. So what, that will happen eventually. Of course you will want to thoroughly inspect it that it closes correctly, trays aren't warped or anything else that will seriously detract from it functioning correctly. At times I have been fortunate enough to obtain them brand new from an outdoor shop retailer that bears a man's first name and they were significantly marked down to sell. A few years ago I obtained a Plano 922089. It has a huge top section and 4 pull out trays. 38 total sections, 17"L x 10"W x14"D, $25! I also obtained a Plano # 1233. 13"w x 9 1/2 " W x 13"D, also $25! They regularly sell fo rmuch more. It also has a huge section under the lid and it has 3 Plano trays with 18 sections, but with the dividers, you could easily have 3 times that many sections, but since you're storing Reef Runners, you won't have that many trays sections available. Personally, I don't like the soft boxes, but that's just IMO. Both boxes were obtained late winter. You have several options and it just depends on what you prefer. Good Luck!

Soft bags with lots of Plano boxes.  Much more versatile and you can change out your lure choices depending on what you're heading out to fish for!

i used to use special mate boxes. nice boxes and hold alot of cranks. after forgetting to close and lock them a few times, and getting hit with some waves, i switched to 3700's . having cranks strewn across the deck, or end up in a tangled mess in the bottom of the box isnt my idea of a fun trip. i also picked up some cabellas waterproof storage bags. they are a bit of over kill for storing 3700's but they are 100% waterproof and keep everything dry in the boat or back of the truck. most captains i have been out with use the 3700's.

Special mate boxes 5 of me filled with cranks, minor issues.

Here I thought I was onto something. I'm diggin my new setup and it's still in the house.
