Cold Weather? Ice Season Finally?!
Its getting really cold here very soon. Was wondering if anyone has taken a look at Pymatuning yet or Lake Wilhelm to see if it finally has some new ice formation on it? If so, let me know! Thanks!

I live really close to the lake and there was only 3 good days to get on the ice so far and that melted to fast but with this cold snap I can see good 6 to 8 inches of ice in the very near.

North was froze over yesterday very thin but froze from Tuttle and Manning. South is still open.

Just got word that the lake is way down and the stumps are out of the water there. If they raise the water level, be very careful going out there. This is referring to Shenango lake.

Wow after that snow after Christmass and then the melt I would of thought Pymy would be up. Erie just got pounded with 15" did you guys get much around Pymy yesterday?

Only a dusting in the greenville area. Only about 6 miles from Pymie. Super cold though with temps not going over the mid teens.

Checked out Edinboro today. 3 inches of slush on top of 1.5 inch of solid black ice. Very dangerous and ppl need* to stay off.... this was on January 22, 6:45 pm. Lots of cracks thats allowing water to flow through at a fast rate. Don't know the rate of solidifying and hardening, but my guess is once that slush freezes solid, should be ready. could be by saturday.... Edinboro should be one of the fastest lakes to freeze safely, so stay off for now!!!!!

Drove by Edinboro about an hour ago and it still has what looks to be 4-6" of slush on top. Wouldn't try it this weekend.
