Get those minnow traps in the water if u wanna catch any walleye this time of year... Chubs and suckers all day try to fish 1/4 to 1/2 mile from below the dams of 2 and 3 the fish are holding in and just off current edges, working into the shallows at night rapalas and jigs will also work but just keep it sloooooow the fish are not willing to chase down lures like they do in the spring and summer. insted of popping a jig along the bottom just try draging it i bet youll have more success...

Anywhere along the allegheny below dams should produce fish.  As was stated dragging jigs more so than jigging will produce more fish.  Chubs and suckers would work great but can be difficult to get.  Large Fatheads or shiners would also work good.  Jigs in 1/4 ounce or 3/8 will keep your offering down in heavy water that is common on the river in winter flows.  Chartruses and black or chartruese and orange have been good colors for me.  Good Luck..

Didn't tear them up, thats for sure. Got some "saving grace" bites right at dusk boated about 20 of which about 6 were legal eyes and some decent sauger. Going to "brave the cold" tomorrow and try the back channel.

Fished the Mon in Charleroi last night where the old old Lock 4 piers are at under the North Charleroi-Monessen bridge, 1 sauger between 3 of us from 1 to 4 am last night using shiners, some barge decided to come about 30 yards out in front of us and go back an forth for no reason so we left.

dont know how big your boat is but the docks are out on the beaver river. if you want to fish the beaver river you can fish from shore right at the dam at Big Rock Park. they put one heck of a fishing area in down there.

Got blown out of the back channel, opened 2 gates on us, but it sucked before that. Went back to dashields and had pretty much constant action, nothin much over 18", but fun ! Jig/minnow and sonars.

I said Boat anglers dude... From shore u will catch some fish in the mourning and evening... maybe but during the day the fish move further into the current to feed. This time of year they are more active in the mid afternoon than the dawn and dusk like in the warm water months...

i would like to see the flw, pwt, etc.... walleye tour stop off for a tourney on the 3 rivers. yes, it sounds crazy and it most likely will never happen, but thats what everybody thought about the BASS Master Classic. i think it would be a great tourney. bix mix of fish in the rivers. 4" pencil saugers up to 10#+++ walleyes.

Drove up to Lock #8 in Kittaning on Tuesday, the river was really high, then tried lock #3 and also high, no fish, went to Emsworth and at least caught a few.
