After a long tough Winter this Spring is a bust so far with the wet damp chilly weather. Like folks say though the melt was slow, however this is the price we pay for that.
Cant wait for some sunny nice days.

Raining hard with even harder rain coming from the west!!! Hopefully cafastrophy is not the end result. Natural flowing rivers will start rising as we speak... Larger basins will be more gradual with a peak occurring this Saturday most likely... Let's see what Brookfield does when it starts knocking at their gates... All honesty, stay away from the rivers and creeks this weekend period!!! Gonna be blownoht everywhere

Word from the Oak Orchard system is that there is s strong run in the main creek and one of the major tribs has spawners working  gravel.  The local ditch, which should be seeing returns from 15,000 planted, reminds me of SR back in the dead days, we have seen no big run of bright fish, and between TB and I we have been on this stream for at least a couple of hours nearly everyday since the snow started going and the stream opened up.  A couple of days had a few freshies mixed with the dark fish that braved the ice in the lower creek, word was there was a fair push two Saturday's ago, but this has been the lowest percentage season I've seen in years. (For those who think this board is SR only, this unburned spot is east of the Genesee, which is what this board covers.) We got 1/2 inch overnight and flows locally went up 25%, but now if the ditches are too high, the browns are attempting to crawl up the beaches chasing anything they can find, and a slow walk throwing cleos can put fish in the cooler without getting the feet wet. 
 
 

I'm gonna check the beaver a few Times a week in the upcoming weeks. Very odd for there to not be fish in it yet. Lucky I would be casting Cleo's myself but still too much ice!!!

NWS says there is still 20-40" of snow up on the hill, the bottom of that has to be pretty much ice, that's a lot of water still to come.
 
We have not seen the deads in the stream, but we have not seen a lot of live ones either, that could say they bit the big one in the lake over winter.  Ice on IBay just went out, so if we don't see some soon, they are not coming.   I would be checking redd areas tomorrow after work, but there is a wind warning down here that will make the woods a dangerous place to be tomorrow.

Yes none for me please. I may try Selkirk or Mexico on the beach though if the ice is gone in the next few days 

Drove over little salmon yesterday in little Texas and it was juicing through the seaway trail and muddy. Steady/brutal East winds 2 days in a row may have cleared a lot of ice up but based on my last trip to Selkirk 2 weeks ago I would be surprised if there's not still 5+ foot of ice build up on the selkirk pier... Little salmon may be different though. Clint, I'll try to check Selkirk for you if I get a chance later today and let you know.

The report from Ohio is rain,high water and all major streams are blown........but I snuck off to a trib to the Grand River and caught a million suckers and about 10 steelhead,lost about a equal amount of steel.What was nice is that I had a spot all to myself for about 5 hrs and it was great to have the solitude.
Before today I fished Monday and Wed and caught ONE!Not going out over the weekend but will hit it again Monday.
That sounds like a great time Charlie!!!!

Was outside all day. Cut enough trees for next years firewood, started the wheeler, fixed some fence, cleaned out the strawberry patch ect ect ect.

It poured last night for a few hours. I agree Trev that spot should be holding.

Well not too bad, but water got bumped up to 3500... A week and a half ago there was 5 k rolling through the north branch while the upper reservoir was still frozen. Reservoir is full. Rain shouldn't be too bad to cause anything catastrophic but you can more or less kiss your dropbacks goodbye. They've gotten in and out spawning wise taking care of business real quick. Elevated flows are gonna make them disappear even faster

Yup, quite an east wind it was clint!!! Stuff blown all over the yard. White caps were still on oneida this afternoon
