Clint just reading your last post tired me out, mercy sake putting brakes on two cars than butchering chickens, I hear a nap calling my name.  I hear you on the lack of a quality soaking rain, been the same around these parts too, though the beans and corn certainly seem to have sprung-up the past couple days.   Neighbors and I have been whacking the whistle pigs up til the past day or two but now the crops make it near impossible to even see the critters.
 
Two days ago I asked my wife to get a screw driver from my man cave and what didn't seem like but seconds, she was back telling me to go get my own screwdriver.  She said she opened the entry door to find it was partially blocked by a now, tipped over garbage can, could see insulation laying on the floor and there was a ruckus going on inside.
 
Man, I hate it when she is right; a quick inspection upon opening a overhead door revealed insulation, the garbage can, oil bottles, a Stihl blower, a small (12 drawer) organizer "once" filled with screws and small nails, as well as other items scattered about.  Some of the stuff was stored on shelves or window sills 3 to 4' off the floor.
 
Wasn't long of, quiet observation, before the face of a wood chuck peered from beneath a row of free standing metal shelves.  The critter had to have 'sneaked' into the garage through an open door the day before then wreaked havoc during the night, I'm thinking, maybe in revenge.
 
Say, did I ever tell ya about, the "Crimson Laser Sight" I installed on my 22 cal. pistol!  Boy, that thing works really well!!!

Rained for about 30 minutes, just enough to turn it into a sauna when the sun came out. Better thsn a kick in the butt with a lead boot.    FYI the release has been cancelled for this weekend, sorry L13

We got enough rain locally to turn the trickles into streams,but how long that will last is doubtful as the long range forecast has temps pushing 100 over the weekend with NO rain is sight!

BTDT,I too have noticed that the crops,corn and beans,locally seem to be weathering the dry spell,I guess the few showers that have occurred were enough to keep them growing and we know the hot,Sunny days really push the corn.But the streams are trickles again.

National Weather Service broadcasting "Severe Storm Warnings" of heavy rains and high winds, every half hour or so, as they track the storms across the Buckeye into the Keystone.  Sky to the southwest of me beginning to look very dark. Would much rather see a 24 hour soaker than a 5 min deluge but we will take it.  Beans, corn and other crops are high enough to capture the water and slow down the run off and evaporation rate when the Sun pops out and Inky Dinky Spider runs up the spout again.   Or, was that Itsy Bitsy Spider?   r3g3 beautiful picture, in my minds eye, of your homestead, I'd stick with the ash thingy, I would want the same. UH-OH!! More storm warnings, gotta get.    Tight lines and good times.

We lucked out and received a hour of easy rain and gentle rolling thunder. Not sure how those to my WSW made out where the more severe weather struck.

Nearly dark now, as I sit on the deck listening to the bawling by one of my neighbors cattle. Makes me wonder if it has become disoriented and lost sight of the herd in the pasture, now covered, in ground fog.

Many horse and buggies can be heard coming down the road. Dutchman and thier families returning home from festivities after church today. Not a good thing to be on a busy road with it nearly dark and heavy fog filling the low laying areas along the road.

Quite a light show as the Lightning Bugs begin to fly above the ground fog so I think it's time to sit back, enjoy the show and, thank Our Father in Heaven for letting me have another day.

Just looked at the radar on weather.com and it looks like the SR and area is in for a soaker in a hour or so!

Already hot as heck up in lake George fantasy land park . Possible t-storms later but we haven't seen any rain in awhile .

It's coming , but not here yet.......

10-4 on the 250 miles to the south, didn't know if yinz was fishin' the SR, but I still hope you get drenched.

Looks like the heaviest missed us, it's still raining , but just lightly.  Better than nothing. There are still a few t storms to the west hopefully they hit us.

HT, stand-by for more of the same, after the storms pass hot and humid returns.  At least it did here.
 
Clint could hear his ground sigh as the rain fell and I heard the same when it rained here but now, I hear the grass growing.... sigh!!

Heyyyy did I tell yinz my swimming pool finally cleared up and I got to use the stupid thing, once!

Locally we are getting a downpour as I type this,this will be done soon then maybe another line of storms will come thru later....I'm going to dance for more! I invited some friends for affect.
