Bring your warm clothes. Snow mixed with rain, temps in low 30's, wind 10-20 mph. Not too pleasant out there.

I hear ya Bill. My hands get cold IN MY HOUSE, so winter steel is a challenge for me, but as u say, we still go!

Ill be on the east side, hopefully some fish will be around. Gotta love winter steel! My favorite time to fly fish is when there is snow around . Good luck!

It was average to below average... There were 9 of us so the catching was pretty spread out... went to the nut house then 4 mile then the poop plant.... caught 12 to 15 between us... Had 30 to 40 on the lines.... A Few nice ones... With a smaller group, you could say it was a good trip but you know how it is sharing holes up there.... A good time was had to say the least.... A few newbies caught their first steel and my son brought one in so it was worth the trip to be there in the cold!!! A long day for a suicide run!

like frisco said, we didnt do too bad. had alot of bites in manchester at daybreak. it was pretty crowded for as cold as it was.people casting their floats clean across the creek and having their line loop 15' bolow them made it hard to get hook sets. we all had some on and a couple of us landed a couple there. headed to 4 mile and did really good for a couple hours then the fish there just shut off. ended the day at elk. water was up alittle and flowing good. a few hook ups at the **** plant with i think 3 or 4 landed. me and another guy ventured down around the bend and i ended up landing 2 and missing a couple before heading home. a couple new guys hooked up several times and each landed a couple. they are now addicted. be back asap

Just use a tandem rig. The 1st fly cuts through the slush, and the 2nd sticks the fish.
