I kayaked a few times from j- town to Greenville and there ant a dam that's forsure there ant even ( all those log jams) neither they cut them all out couple years ago wich is awesome cuz now u can get down it but its also way to shallow at times for fish to go from one pole to the next let alone migrate, but iv also seen it 15 foot above that

I'd rather be lucky then good, but im to good to be lucky

should have waited until saturday, they will be dropping the outflow volume by 300cfs.
Its moving pretty good right now, probably not a good time to wade. But possibly fish from shore.

Pymie outflow is at 801.0 CFS at the low break dam at the dock near the outflow rec area...  I'd say it's a little high... I've fished there at 500CFS and it's a pain... I did end up catching 3 large carp on minnows that day... lol  What is a reasonable but high outflow for Shenango?  I was figuring around 7-800?

Drove over 80 and 376 and the river is at/over it's banks and chocolate milk. It'll probably have better color at the outflow though, but still high..

Hit the pymy outflow sat. am flow dropped to 4.93 but water was dirty.
No takers in 4hrs. Saw 1 guy land a carp and that was it.

I use gauge height at the shenango outflow more than CFS
anything above 3.0 -3.2 feet at sharpsville, its gettin pretty fast down there and u gotta be careful

or if you call the ACOE hotline and they say all 7 gates open to 1.5 feet or more, thats pretty much my limit to wading below the shenango

not sure abt CFS for pymy outflow

I go by guage height also 4.93 on sat. and like 150-160 cfs. It was real good flow but really dirty. I thought they might bite because the upper river was running real high fo the last week or so...but not

Scottsgrafix or anyone who reads this for that matter if you have an android smartphone or even possibly an iPhone grab the "River Watch" app it has saved me so many wasted trips... It's pretty much the USGS gauge site in your pocket... You can save your favorite gauges as well... It also provides dissolved O2, Temp in Celsius, Flow (CFS), gauge height, turbidity, specific conductance (idk if that matters to fish unless it's part of a huge formula lol) and rain gauges in places...
