Well now that my season is over, here is my review of it. These are totals from bow,gun & flint seasons combined
I went out 26 times saw 5 bucks(1legal)33 doe and 3 unknown sex for a total of 41. Missed the legal buck and passed on all the does (for multiple reasons) that gave me a shot opportunity. Overall the numbers seen were  below my average of 61.1 deer per season with this being the 2nd worst as far as deer seen in the last 10 yrs. (2011 was the worst)
I won't complain other than the deer seen as I was able to enjoy another Fall doing what I love to do.
Highlite of the season was being on stand with my wife as she killed her 1st ever deer.

Had a good last day yesterday with 2 button bucks 5 yds. from me and a fat doe 20 yds. away. Passed on them hoping to see the owner of this tree...:)

Hope he made it for next year...I,ll be looking

I've actually seen more bucks in my scouting trips since season went out than I did during the season.  One dandy left in one of my new hunting areas.  More fisher and fisher sign than anything else though and not much small game.  Can't imagine why.

After reading these posts, it appears the number of deer sightings are down considerably. A few nice bucks were taken but the amount of bucks harvested was way down: shots heard was way down and the amount of hunters in the woods way down. Just a small sample and my opinion how these posters responded. Lets see in 6 months, when the harvest numbers and the other BS that is published of how great the season was, is released. Wonder how this will refect next season, also?....WF

Cant be shootin 4 or 5 Deer a year -year in and year out -and expect to keep on keepin on. We are our own worst enemy if we do that no matter what  State ya hunt in that allows such idiocy.
Pleeeeease dont respond with that old 'need the meat' story.

Here I go double posting---
Took my first ever trail cam out for  a test coupla days ago and put it on a trail- Nothing but neighborhood dog pictures out in the woods where Deer generally are this time of year- One dog in particular.
Now that will keep them outa my spot quicker than anything- Was seein dog tracks here and there this season but not the dogs.
Dont mind dog walkers here and there but these were well into the thickets far from walking trails. Runnin wild and all day too.
  Explains a lot--------

5 deer in my yard right now. Thats 2 less then I saw all season. Time to raise the doe license allocation in 2-C... Theres deer out there, just need more time to scout them....WF

But....But...  If they don't raise the tags and 3 more deer are allowed to exist in this state,  there won't be any more trees and the deer will all starve, all other wildlife will cease to exist,  the state timber industry will go broke, and all hel l will ensue. lmao.
