Will they run back in?

Just a "food for thought" question.  It seems to me that since the the last blow out the qty of fish in the streams dropped.  Guess the blow out pushed alot of the fish back to the lake.

Question is do you think a good number of them will return this season?

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I wouldn't say they dropped, they moved...

i don't think it is possible to "push fish back to the lake"

but it will be hard for a lot of them to "return" from the smokers and fryers...

If they DO come back in...they'll likely swim.

I was up this weekend. I noticed that there were alot of fish stacked up at the mouths (at least on the east side streams), to the extent that I was catching them on my fly rod in the lake. It appears that another factor may be that the creek mouths have been altered due to the hurricane, and are clogged with leaves, sand, brush, etc., and the fish can't get up into the streams (even saw fish jumping high out of the water trying to get in).

I want to know who they are that stands at the mouth with a counter and keeps tracked of the fish that swim up or back out of the creeks? is it an organization, a group association or a group of fellow fishermen that watches over the fish flow 24/7 in determining the quantity of fish?
is there a number i can call so i will know when the most fish enter the creeks so i can make the trip up during these epic runs?

there are plenty of fish.  I haven't seen the creek mouths, but i dont' buy your theory.  whether or not this response gets marked "helpful" i know its the truth.  As kjh said, fish dont get pushed back out.  they move out of the way of the current and hold tight to the banks/structure/etc thats in slower water.  Ive fished twice since the storms, and the "quality" of fish is just fine.  Big, hard fighting, and fun to catch.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
