Articulated

I am starting to tie some articulated stones, streamers and such. I have zero experience tying them. Is it best to attach the back hook into the vise, tie off fully at the joint, and then tie the front section? If there are any tips you guys have I would love to hear them.

    Hello
Hi Fly Giude. If you are going to make lagre musky/pike articulated flys, You might want to check out Flyman Fishing co. They have shanks for tying articulated flys. They come in 3 sizes. 20, 35, and 55mm. I've used the small ones and can say that they are effective for articulated flys. Plus you only need one hook per fly. Unless you want two.
