high water

Please don't take this the wrong way & be sure that I thank God for sparing our area from the awful damage that others are having. If you want to see something awesome,in a couple of days take a ride to Crooked Creek Or Conemaugh to see what a extra 60' of water looks like.If you have never seen it,Crooked Creek's water will prob. be over the rest rooms.when you park at the overlook & see the water just feet below the highway it is impressive to me. I won't be doing much fall Crappie fishing there for the next few weeks again. Again THANK GOD for sparing us .  sam

Sam, I know what you mean, I tend to go up lock 3 and just drive past the dam area to watch the water rage over the dam and flood over the island areas. It really puts into perspective just how powerful "water" is. Quite scary if you ask me.

Everyone take care boating.....don't be "that guy" who gets caught to close to a dam area and needs rescued...seems like every year some knucklehead  does this, and remember boats 14 ft and smaller operator and passengers must wear a life preserver  that includes kyaks and canoes. Starting November 1st through April 30th I believe
