One DMAP tag filled this evening ==

Beautiful evening hunt after work... 6:30 two doe showed up and I harvested the bigger one at about 20 yards.. Never had an idea I was even there on the ground !!!!
Dropped on the spot, never moved , just collapsed.
I have tomorrow off, so I think I'll go behind the house and try to fill my 2F tag in the morning., one from several does that are running back there..
 

Thanks, you were too quick.. I was still working on getting the photo, but it's there now....

Maybe they will be running where you hunt, but around here everyone coming in the hardware is complaining they are seeing no rubs or scrapes yet and not much buck ruting action at all...?????
 
I have yet to see any sign of bucks here or my favorite clear creek spot.... TONS of acorns at clear creek though !!!!
 
The does I saw tonight were busy eating acorns and walking along about 40 yards from a gas line and had no idea I was even in the woods ... LOL
 
The one I shot was standing at maybe 20 yards eating and looking straight at me when I squeezed the trigeer on the 30/30 lever action.... the smaller doe was beside her at about 30 yards, one think I noticed about the other one... I can not say I ever saw a darker colored whitetail.. she was almost black.... the darkest brown I have ever seen...  I hope that does not mean anything about the coming winter ......  LOL

 
This showed up last week, also got 2 bucks on the cam before dark both legal bucks
