Ice Fishing Gloves

Hey everyone,

Just wondering what everyone recommends for a really good ice fishing glove. I got really nice boots two years ago, a really nice frabill cold weather suit last year, and now I need a really good pair of gloves to complete the ensemble. Would prefer single fingers rather than the glomitts, but would like to hear opinions.

Thanks!

Leather choppers with fleece lining...I use elkskin, but deerskin is ok too.  Mooseskin is the best but pricey.  Get them a size or two too large.  Very warm and when you need to do delicate things, fling them off, do what you need to do, then slip them back on.  If they fall in the slop, no matter.  Slide them on and they'll still be warm even if wet.

Single fingers equals cold fingers and you won't be able to do anything in gloves anyway.  If you must, get some wool fingertipless gloves and slide the choppers over them.
