What has happened to the perch fishing?????

October used to be a great time for perch fishing.  I understand the weather has been terrible but is perch fishing done for the year?  Have the head boats stopped fishing already?

    I'm not sure if the head boats are done for the year, but it's hard to perch fish in 12' waves.

    The same thing that happens EVERY year, as the November gails approach its time to put the big water boats away...The fish are still there.

    This has been one crappy October for sure. I was planning on heading over to the cribs this Sunday but after reading the report of Perch in the bay, I think I'll poke around there a bit.

    Curiosity killed the cat, but for awhile I was a suspect.

    On a serious note, I caught 10 good sized perch last week while fishing for a few hours from one of the piers in the bay. This time of year the perch fishing from shore can be pretty good.
